The Wendell Community Church was originally planted as the Genesis Pentecostal Holiness Church on November 13, 1988, by Rev. Paul Bradford & the North Carolina Conference of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church. A building program began & the church was dedicated on November 23, 1993.
On December 6, 1993, Rev. Vernon Potter was called to Pastor the Genesis Church. He continued to lead the church until the current Pastor, Rev. Adam Blackmon came on March 25, 2001.
In 2022 the church leadership was lead by God to rename the church and change the vision of the church. We are now the Wendell Community Church - A Place of Mission. Our mission is fulfill the Great Commission by being People Passionately Loving God...By Telling Others About Jesus!
